SALEM, N.H., Oct. 22, 2026
SALEM, N.H., Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — CSMI, LLC has been awarded the recompete contract to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Protective Service (FPS) fleet of Mobile Command Vehicles (MCVs). The award continues CSMI’s support of FPS and its mission to provide dependable communications and operational capabilities to first responders. CSMI supports the rapid deployment of MCVs to locations throughout the Continental United States where communications infrastructure is inadequate or disrupted, or where enhanced interoperability among law enforcement agencies is needed. In these situations, mobile command capabilities can help agencies establish communications, coordinate activity, and support operations in the field. The MCVs provide a broad range of communications and command-and-control capabilities. These include cellular and satellite communications; secure and non-secure telephone service; satellite and broadcast television; VHF, UHF, 800 and 900 MHz radio frequencies; video teleconferencing; mesh networks; video capture and security imaging; and command post support. The vehicles also offer other critical capabilities to support coordinated response and operational needs. Through its O&M support, CSMI helps keep these mobile resources ready to deploy and able to support the communications requirements of FPS and its partner agencies. The work reflects the importance of reliable, adaptable systems when responders need to coordinate across agencies, locations, and communications networks. Randall Kaminsky, CEO of CSMI, said, “We are pleased to begin our 16th year of continued support to our valued DHS FPS customer. This continued partnership reflects our strong commitment to dependable, high-quality communications and operational support for the nation’s first responders.” The recompete award underscores CSMI’s ongoing relationship with DHS FPS and its focus on responsive, customer-centered support. CSMI’s experience in communications integration, operations management, and lifecycle support enables the company to help maintain mission-critical capabilities for customers operating in complex environments.
